Through Twitter I came to follow Jarrod Robinson. He is the PE GEEK. I would encourage you to visit his site, join his club and listen to his podcasts. In his latest podcast he mentions SWORKIT PRO. Being curious and having a few minutes, I followed the link to SWORKIT PRO. It is a fun app that allows me to pick a workout (I’ve done primarily whole body) choose the length of workout I want to do, and get started in the living room, the gym or most recently the hotel gym. Today I used it with my students! I decided to add it as a station. Pairs of students had an IPad, program was already on and paused. Students followed 30 second circuts for the duration they were at station. They seemed to enjoy the change up, and the challenge. The cool part was when students were lining up. Multiple students throughout the day were talking about their plans to download this app for themselves to use at home!
great one! I use this too with my KG students to warm up. Just mirror it on a TV with apple tv. They are so excited!
It is great to hear you use Swuorkit Pro with kindergarten! It is good pre-reading practice when kindergarteners see a visual cue, then react by doing a physical task. I’ll have to try it with them!
